Wireless Headphones

wireless headphones

There are probably as many different reasons to use wireless headphones as there are types of music and television shows to listen to with them. Have you ever been listening to your iPod, gotten up and taken a step away from the table only to have the earbuds ripped from your ears while the player crashes to the floor? Have you ever been at home and wanted to be able to move from room to room while listening to your favorite music or TV show, but instead felt like a prisoner or were forced to adjust the volume each time you moved? For these and a hundred other reasons, wireless headphones are a wonderful solution. They provide you with a flexible and portable solution to listen to your what you want, when you want and how you want.

Headphones for Portable Devices

Wireless headphones for portable music players such as the iPod, or a laptop/PC, typically use Bluetooth technology to transmit from the audio source to the headphones. Bluetooth is a perfect medium for the transmission as it provides for completely interference free, crystal-clear sound. (A wireless adapter plugs into the audio output of the player and transmits the audio to the headphones.) Expect that the audio source can be as far away as 30 feet from the headphones without any problems and 8+ hours of use can be achieved from a single battery charge.

Headphones for Home Theater

Wireless headphones for home use provide you with the flexibility to listen to your TV and/or home stereo from any room in your house at a constant volume level and without disturbing anyone else. A transmitter is simply plugged into the audio output of the device you wish to listen to and a 900MHz signal is used to transmit the sound to your headphones. Some models allow you to wander up to 300 feet from the audio source and provide enough battery life for 20 hours of continuous listening.
