Product Summary

The Gemini WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) antenna is designed to improve the range of your wireless local area network. It will easily install on your PC's WLAN card, your wireless access point, or even your router. The antenna is designed to have higher "gain" - the antenna's ability to strengthen the transmitted signal and improve reception. Typically most wireless devices include small antennas that have a gain figure of 2.0-3.0dB. The supplied antennas generally attach directly to the device; this may prevent the antenna from being in the best place for optimum reception. This antenna is a convenient way for you to re-locate the antenna to your desktop or wall to improve reception and transmission. The Gemini WLAN antenna has a gain figure of 3.5dB, which means that it has typically over 1 to 1.5dB of additional gain compared to standard antenna. In electronic terms, this is equivalent to increasing the power of your system by up to 35% or more.
