Product Summary

The 3Com 11Mbps Wireless LAN PCI adapter gives you secure wireless connections without the expense and inconvenience of laying cables. This easy-to-install PCI adapter complements your existing enterprise authentication systems by providing 802.1x network access control when used with Windows XP and an 802.1x-compatible access point. It also keeps wireless transmissions private with 40-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption. Use this adapter to connect to any Wi-Fi network through a compatible WLAN access point. In addition, ad hoc mode lets you connect directly to another Wi-Fi certified WLAN client device. Firmware upgradeability preserves your investment and extends your PCI adapter's capabilities as new security and WLAN features become available.
